Third IEEE International Workshop on Performance Evaluation of Tracking and Surveillance ( PETS ’ 2002 )

چکیده

In earlier work we introduced a generic, modular tracker architecture that combines the advantages of several simple and rapidly performing tracking algorithms. The adaptive choice of critical system parameters such as processing regions and resolution results in robustness to varying frame rates and computational constraints. In this paper, we describe the embedding of our tracker into a distributed infrastructure for visual surveillance applications via an event-based mechanism. The tracker generates applicationindependent events on the basis of generic incidents and target interactions detected in the video stream. These events can then be received and interpreted by applicationspecific clients. We report experimental results on the shopwindow datasets of PETS 2002.

IEEE Visual Surveillance and Performance Evaluation of Tracking and Surveillance (VS-PETS), October 2003 Spatiotemporal Blocks-Based Moving Objects Identification and Tracking

In this paper we propose a new representation of videos with spatiotemporal blocks. After a given video is decomposed into the spatiotemporal blocks, a dimensionality reduction technique is applied to obtain a compact vector representation of each block gray level values. The block vectors provide a joint representation of texture and motion patterns in videos. Our results on PETS repository vi...

First IEEE International Workshop on Performance Evaluation of Tracking and Surveillance ( PETS ’ 2000 )

This paper presents the first results obtained from the statistical object tracker developed at Duisburg University for the test data sequence provided by the organizers of the PETS2000 workshop. Our system differs from many other systems in that respect that it does not use any motion information at all for calculating the trajectory of a moving object in an image sequence, resulting in the fa...

Waviz: Spectral Similarity for Object Detection

Previous attemps to perform figure-ground segmentation have universally made the assumption that observations of the scene are independent in time. In the vocabulary of the stochastic systems literature: the individual pixels are taken to be samples from a stationary, white random processes with independent increments. Many scenes that could loosley be referred to as static often contain cyclos...

Multiple objects tracking in surveillance video using color and Hu moments

Multiple objects tracking finds its applications in many high level vision analysis like object behaviour interpretation and gait recognition. In this paper, a feature based method to track the multiple moving objects in surveillance video sequence is proposed. Object tracking is done by extracting the color and Hu moments features from the motion segmented object blob and establishing the asso...
